P. 46
Describe your quality assurance experience.
Supplier quality plays a large part in my daily activity. I ensure that suppliers deliver products correctly per
engineering. I work with suppliers to resolve any Notices of Escapement (Boeing terminology for supplier quality
issues that persist across multiple line numbers). I also work constantly with suppliers to implement changes to their
products to ensure quality. Continuous quality improvement is a major initiative on the 787 Passenger Doors, which
are extremely complex products. I’ve worked for three years on an assembly issue related to quality on a large 787
work statement. During this time I’ve led a team of 12 people to analyze engineering, assembly, tooling,
measurement, and tolerance stacking, in order to determine the root cause of the issue and to prescribe the best
solution moving forward.
How would you describe your core competencies? Describe what you like to do most and least; can be in business
or your personal life.
I am a creative problem-solver driven by logic. I am optimistic and entrepreneurial, and I couple that with a drive to
succeed.
I do not like minutiae. Details are important; understanding details is a prerequisite for success. But I enjoy achieving
an understanding of the big picture and executing on a vision.
What are your long-term goals and ambitions and why do you think you would fit within this company?
My long-term goals are simple: I want to work at a company where I am enabled to help the company achieve its
goals. I want to be challenged. I think I would fit at IOMAX because from what I’ve heard the company has good
people, leadership is decisive, the company obviously has an entrepreneurial spirit, it’s adaptable, and it would be
one heck of a fun challenge to help continue its success and to create a long-lasting enterprise.
