                Managed delivery and quality of material from external suppliers.  Developed target costs for parts, tooling, and
                returnable containers.  Quoted and sourced new parts for new production.
                   •   Developed cost breakdown of nylon, plastic and rubber sealing components for hydraulic cylinders
                       allowing market driven pricing for over 700 parts.
                   •   Negotiated supply agreements with existing suppliers and new international suppliers resulting in savings
                       of $780,000 over a two year period and reducing inventory by $160,000.
                   •   Reduced steel slug inventory from 53 to 25 days on hand, saving $42,000 in inventory cost.
                   •   Established a pull replenishment system using EDI transmissions-reducing inventory from 37 to 25
                       days on hand, saving $45,000 in inventory costs.

                Managed production, delivery, quality and completion of manufacturing projects to meet production goals in
                assigned departments.  Supervised 29 wage employees on three shifts.
                   •   Increased production efficiency by 7%, attaining factory goal of 120% within department for first time in
                       five years.
                   •   Converted production schedules from 5-day to 3-day cycles, providing more flexibility to better meet the
                       customer demands.
                   •   Decreased department quality rejects from 5178 to 895 parts per million over one year period.
                   •   Facilitated new layout in final assembly area of front end equipment, reducing WIP inventory by 50%.

                Rain Bird Corporation is a large privately held manufacturer and provider of irrigation products and services with facilities
                and offices in over 20 countries.
                Production Superintendent
                Managed production, delivery, quality and completion of manufacturing projects on second shift.  Executed
                schedule in printed circuit board assembly area and final assembly area to meet production goals.  Supervised four
                production supervisors and one engineer.
                   •   Organized and implemented continuous operations in the board assembly area by coordinating with human
                       resources, payroll and other internal divisions to reach goal.
                   •   Coordinated  manufacturing  and  production  efforts  to  resolve  critical  quality  deficiencies  of
                       electromechanical controllers.
                   •   Adjusted several production processes to overcome material shortages ensuring a quick response to meet
                       delivery goals.


                U.S. Air Force                                                                  1994 - 1999

                The United States Air Force is the aerial warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces with over 300K active
                duty service members.
                International Maintenance Training Element Commander  (1997 – 1999)
                Developed course curriculum and provided aircraft maintenance management instruction in Spanish to 60
                international students per year.  Supervised four instructors and four courses.
                   •   Implemented new instruction and hands-on learning into the classroom by adding an aircraft weight and
                       balance, incorporating actual job tasks into existing training curriculum.
                   •   Managed self-inspection of technical order library and updated over 800 technical orders in accordance with
                       new guidance, led to zero defects noted during actual inspection and improved student training.

                Aircraft Maintenance Officer  (1994 – 1997)
                Directed maintenance repair efforts and flight production for assigned aircraft.  Managed intermediate-level
                maintenance requirements for fuels, egress, pneumatic, and electrical/environmental systems.
