What is your current responsibility and where are you situated in the organization? To whom do you report and
who reports to you?
My current responsibilities include the management of the entire Supply Chain for the United States Customs &
Border Protection (CBP) supporting a P-3 Aircraft fleet. I support two operational maintenance teams and a depot
overhaul facility; in addition to over $45M in spare parts and inventory for the P-3 operational fleet at these CBP
Operations Centers performing sensitive missions.
I am situated in the organization as member of the Program Management Office (PMO). I report directly to a
Senior Program Manager and he reports to a Senior Director who reports to a Senior Vice President. I have a
government (customer) counterpart.
My reports consist of an Inventory Control Point (ICP) Operations Manager, two Supply Operations Managers that
are imbedded at the 2 CBP Operations Centers (each with 6 Supply Technicians), three Item Managers, three
Subcontract Administrators/Buyers, two Logistics Financial Analyst, two Warehouse Specialists, & a Supplier
Quality Engineer.
How deep is your Supply Chain experience? Have you functioned as the lead supply chain officer in a division or a
company? If so, what functions were your responsibilities? Have you ever created a supply chain process?
My Supply Chain experience covers the last 37 years. I have lead both small and large teams in a multitude of
different environments including manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), and austere
operational sites throughout the world.
Yes I have functioned as the lead supply chain manager of a large program My responsibilities were to ensure an
uninterrupted flow of quality parts and services throughout the entire pipelined supply chain. This included the
attainment and retention of a robust workforce, maintaining an inventory with the proper depth & breadth to
accommodate both normal & surge operations. Additionally, and just as important, I had to accomplish my mission
goals on schedule and within budget.
Yes, I have created supply chain processes and procedures. The position that I now have, I carry ultimate
responsibility for the creation, content, and proper execution of the supply chain processes and procedures.
