Strategic Essence
The essence of this strategic plan is centred on: “Kia Tū, Kia Hauora, Te Pūtaketanga - stand tall, be healthy, pursue purpose” (other possibilities at end of doc of up for
discussion)
Strategic priorities
The six strategic priorities, established by the Board of Trustees and Board of Proprietors, for the next three years are:
A. Our Solway Way – Increased profile of our special character as the heart of our school, heightened aspirations in our pursuit of excellence, and purposeful
School Sisters and Horizons programmes.
B. Our Empowering Pathways – Maximising opportunities for each student to develop their inherent potential, utilise their gifts and talents, and to move
confidently and purposefully into the next phase of their life.
C. Our Nurturing Staff – Maximising our collective potential through weaving strands together, collaboration, and enabling agency, so that every student is
nurtured to achieve their potential.
D. Our Community – Empowering families to be partners in their daughters education, and serving in our local community
E. Our Well-being – Prioritising well-being (hauora) as a fundamental part of our holistic education, and a vital component of student success.
F. Our Home – provide a comfortable home away from home and take care of our environment, partnering with mana whenua. Provision the

school with learning spaces appropriate to a 21 Century education, equipping our girls to thrive in tomorrow’s world.
