Constructivist - Mobile Learning Classroom
According to Szymanski in her article, Problem-based learning can be breakdown into a few step of structure.
This structure needs students to be critical thinker throughout the learning process to generate a solution.
The steps listed as below:
Step 1 – Idea & Hypothesis
A group of students 5 to 8 members will define a problem and set their
learning goals.
Step 2 – Fact & Problem Information
Students start gather information by collecting data from various resources
by using tools to facilitate them solves the problem.
Step 3 – Learning Issues
Students discussing and share knowledge they gained throughout the process
while adding informtion or reject some towards solving the problem.
Step 4 – Action Plan
This step requires students to summarize the knowledge and intergrate and
apply all the knowledge they gained during learning process.
Mobile technology used to re-design the classroom as a tool to facilitate students learning such as Web Browser,
Whatsapp, Zoom, Facebook to foster students learning as a tool to gather information, communicate, have a video
meeting and even consultation with the lecturers remotely. The current practice previously never use Zoom or
video conference app to conduct a meeting effectively. Having a conventional meeting physically needs to
consider everyone’s availability before proceeding.
