Constructivist - Mobile Learning Classroom

As described in previous page, the mobile technology used to facilitate the whole teaching and learning process

where the learning theory needs them to identify the problem. This process can be done easier by using an

internet browser to search for information. Another example is students having a discussion, changing their

knowledge and information in order to decide the solution by using mobile technology: Zoom video conference.

Problem-based learning reflected from the first step where the problem is presented, proceed with the second

step when the group setting the learning goals. Then each member conducts their research to collect data. The

next step is discussing and presenting ideas and data that the instructor plays their role in these activities to give

feedback and support. The information gathered will be re-evaluated in the group to add or remove irrelevant

data and the last step is summarizing the knowledge into the final solution. All these steps can be done through

mobile technology applications since the role of lecturers in this learning approach is minimal.

What is the expected Learning Outcome will be?

At the end of the class, students should be able:

                                   1. To search information literaly through self-directed learning and able to explain the concept.

                                   2. To manage a project, communicate effectively orally or in writing and work in a team collaboratively.

                                   3. To work independently with the ability of critical thinking skills and applying problem-solving skills across

multidiscipline which relates to the real world.

The integration of the Constructivist learning model (CLE) and technology enhances the learning process that

moreover prepares students towards the need and requirement of the 21st century. Most of the skills needed for

the industry can be developed through this classroom that was designed to prepare students to be competent and

relevant to the industry need. The skills are:

Critical Thinking Skills, Creative, Manage to work collaboratively, Good communication skills, Competent with

technology skills while possessing positive soft skills attitude and characteristic.
