Communication Technology in the Educational field

in Sudan to measure Electronic Educational
Services as far as Egovernment Project is

concerned Dr. Abdalilah G. Alhalangi, Dr. Galal

           1. Introduction:

Governments around the world are racing to establish what is called
EGovernment In every region of the world from developing countries to developed
ones, the governments and localities put their critical information online, using
technology to simplify automated processes that were complicated by interacting
electronically by users The enthusiasm that accompaniesthis trend comes partly
from believing in modern technology turning negative figures predominantly in the
actual governments to a positive and interactive form with active citizens and
businesses In many places, many people believed that their governments do not
respond to urgent needs, and the spread of modern information and communication
technologies have contributed to changing the traditional style of government in the
provision and development of services for people

The widespread definition of Electronic or Digital Government is the use of
information and communications technology to support the effectiveness of
government services and their dealings with citizens better and easier, and allow access
to more information, and make Government more responsive to the wishes of citizens
EGovernment may include access to services via the Internet and the Web, telephones,
wireless gadgets, or other communication systems available

                      Theuse of informationandcommunicationtechnology ICT ineducationisthe
most powerful catalysts in completing the network readiness, and also key factors in
egovernment project for educational services provided by the Government for citizens
and for the educational process in the country – so to speak – but a chance either
misunderstoodor underestimated Accordingto Harvard Thatthe integrationof
schools with the tools of ICT and their use in learning processes is necessary if they
chooseto be a partof the world So the programthatgivesthe student the availability
acquire learning information and communicate in the classroom gives a strong push
toward improving the readiness of egovernment, this readiness in the educational
environment schools for accessing data can be summarized in

                • The number of computers available
                • Types of computers
