His saints, proclaimed His fiery law from Sinai.

God revealed Himself to the prophets and

writers of the Old Testament, and the same

Father of us all spoke through Christ to the

apostles, and opened the eyes of the prophet

on Patmos. And in order that men may see the

oneness of the divine word, the mighty angel

binds together the Old and the New

Testaments. The one prophet, who, before

Christ, gave the date of His first advent, and

who also gave the time of His second coming
