THE STORY OF THE SEER OF PATMOS

                                             Stephen N. Haskell

“Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at
                                              hand” Revelation 22:10.

to comfort and bless, and in putting Him to

death, Satan manifested the malignity of his

hatred against God. He made it evident that

the real purpose of his rebellion was to

dethrone God and to destroy Him through

whom the love of God was shown.”

When from the depths of anguish, the dying

Son of man exclaimed, “It is finished,” in spite

of the sympathy which could scarcely bear

restraint, a shout of victory rang through

heaven. Christ’s “ear caught the distant music

and the shouts of victory in the heavenly

courts. He knew that the death knell of Satan’s

empire had sounded, and the name of Christ

would be heralded from world to world

throughout the universe.” “And I heard a loud

voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation,
