Operation & Adjustment
- The broom rides on two premium quality solid no flat rubber caster
wheels mounted using heavy-duty swivel caster frames. The
caster swivel frames and gauge wheel axles are both serviceable via
grease nipples .
- The gauge wheels allow the broom frame and broom head to be held
in a level position at all times, providing a stable ride and increased
broom performance and bristle life.
- The broom head and sweeping pattern are easily adjusted by means
of a 1-1/8" adjustment arm top link that is held in position by two jam
nuts. The broom comes complete with an adjustment wrench.
- Power is transferred from the tractor to the broom by a PTO shaft
and Idler Shaft Assembly, then on to a 90 degree gearbox to a 1-1/8”
OD shaft to #50 chain and sprocket drive assembly. The chain tension
is maintained by a steel tensioner.
- The premium quality drive sprockets utilize an OD style hub that
creates a wedge style clamp system to ensure sprocket stability
and positioning.
- The Rotary Angled Broom has a zinc-dipped storage stand that
can be manually positioned during mounting and storage.
- The broom frame and hood are sandblasted clean and then painted
using a premium black powder coat paint finish.
Options
- The Toro 3280D requires a weight kit for broom operation.
Conterra Attachments offers a Weight Kit and Mount Bracket,
RAB3280-WKT. The Weight Kit & Mount Bracket is designed to bolt
directly on the back of the Toro 3280D and fits above the existing
Toro weight kit. No drilling is required for the installation of the kit.
The 370lbs Weight Kit can then be hung on the mount kit and bolted
in place. This Weight Kit can be installed and removed in a matter
of minutes.
