         Dear Residents, Relatives and Friends,

We have had a busy couple of months with both of our
residences being visited by the Australian Aged Care Quality
Agency, in recent times. Wycombe Road had a planned
accreditation visit in June, and we successfully met all 44
standards and are again fully accredited for another three years.
The Agency also acknowledged some of our recently Residents on the Government House Tour
implemented ideas that have come from resident feedback,
including regular BBQs and the creation of the Lansdowne Lions
Choir. In August, Manns Avenue had an unannounced Agency
visit. We had three assessors visit for one day, and they looked at
a number of clinical standards as well as meeting with many
residents and relatives. The feedback from this visit was positive
and reflects the wonderful care that Jane Te, our Clinical Care
Manager, the Registered Nurses and all the carers
provide. Receiving positive feedback from the Agency was a team
effort! Thanks to all residents and families who provided their
         valuable feedback to the assessors.

David will go into detail regarding our refurbishment, which has "The Lady and the Unicorn" Exhibition - New South
already started. Any questions or concerns, please do not Wales Art Gallery
hesitate to speak to either myself or David. Some of the
interesting activities that we’ve had recently include the 15-piece
Junior Intermediate Cello Orchestra Presentation, Japanese Floral
Arranging, Balmoral Beach Accapella Group Performance,
Concerts at the Conservatorium of Music and Sydney Opera
House, Kirribilli Yacht Squadron lunches and much more! At both
Manns Avenue and Wycombe Road, the Lansdowne Lions are
constantly spoken about, we cannot wait to see them on stage by
         the end of the year!

         With warm wishes,

Resident Vilma at the Sydney Observatory
