"20,000 Leagues Under the
Sea" is a science fiction story
by Jules Verne, a French
novelist whose literary works
laid the foundation of modern
science fiction. Jules Verne
had an exciting and energetic
style of writing. This book is
written as a first-person
narrative of Proffesor
Aronnax.
The story follows Professor Aronnax and his
companions, Conseil and Ned Land, as they embark on
a journey in search of a giant sea monster but
accidentally visits an underwater world hosted by the
mysterious Captain Nemo. They soon discover that the
monster is, in fact, a steel-plated submarine called the
"Nautilus," invented and commanded by Captain Nemo.
