Floors
11 Mop with a figure of 8 stroke with each pass overlapping.
12 Clean adjacent to skirting by “ cutting in “ parallel to skirting board.
13 Use abrasive pad to remove stubborn marks.
14 Ensure bucket is behind line of work.
15 When wringing out mop, stand in front of the wringer and press down firmly,
if applicable.
16 Pay particular attention to edges, corners and rises.
17 Rinse the mop frequently and change the cleaning solution as required.
18 Use the minimum amount of liquid to achieve the desired result.
19 Vacuum carpeted areas.
Fixtures and fittings
20 Thoroughly clean sink and surfaces.
21 If dry dust clean using a static duster.
22 Damp wiping ; prepare cleaning solution in a bucket to manufacturers
instructions, adding detergent to water.
23 Using a damp cloth wrung almost dry, wipe surfaces using smooth strokes.
As necessary, rinse cloth in clean water, recharge with cleaning solution
and wring out till almost dry.
24 Pay particular attention to cupboard fronts.
On completion of task
25 Clean the equipment and check for safety.
26 Return equipment and materials to store.
27 Return warning signs to store only when floor area is dry and safe.
