ARC FLASH HAZARD
SPECIALIST TECHNICAL SERVICES
Arc flash is a dangerous condition associated with
the release of energy caused by an electric arc. The
consequences of an arc flash accident can be life
changing or even life ending.
An arc flash can create temperatures three times
hotter than the sun. Molten metal flying, noise up to
165 db that will deafen.
Before working with energised equipment, we must
do the following:
● Only people with experience, knowledge, training
& authorised should carry out the task.
● Use an energised electrical work permit system.
