FALL ARREST EQUIPMENT

SAFETY HARNESS AND LANYARD
● Must be stored correctly when not in use.
● Always hang up to dry naturally if it gets wet.
● Do not mark safety harness with marker or paint.
● Do not leave in direct heat or sun light.
● Do not store in tool boxes or back of vans, cars etc.
SAFETY HARNESS AS LAST RESORT
● Operatives must be trained to check, wear & adjust harnesses.
● Collective measures must take precedence over the use of a
safety harness and lanyards.
● Remember a harness will not prevent a fall but will minimise
the risk of injury if there is a fall.
