A-FRAME TRESTLE LADDERS
SPECIALIST TECHNICAL SERVICES
Step Ladders or A-Frame or Trestle ladder (they go by many names)
● Light and manoeuvrable.
● Easily damaged.
● No gate to working platform.
● Not adjustable.
● Should only be used under permit conditions or where deemed
necessary in the method statement & risk assessment.
● Dangerous because of misuse.
● Must consider all other means of access before using.
● Must wear a harness and clip off to suitable anchor point if one
exists.
● Chain up when not in use.
● Never use top two rungs.
● Must have 3 points of contact.
