Sandoval said she knew a friend in Arizona who
owned a DeLorean and approached him about
borrowing it for a few days. His gem wasn’t going
to be available, but he referred Sandoval to another
DeLorean owner, also in Arizona. Owner No. 2 was
OK with allowing his DeLorean, the one Sandoval
said was in the movie, to appear at AASBO’s
conference.
It was transported by a atbed truck, but for
some reason re o cials in Tucson balked at rst
about the prospect of parking the vehicle in the
busy hotel. Cooler heads prevailed, and e Future
was Back Again.
To entertain herself and onlookers, Sandoval
sat at a nearby table, and when someone looked
like they were about to touch the DeLorean, she
remotely turned on some blinking lights.
Michael J. Fox would have loved it.
