Children’s Museum of Yuma County
Launched in 2013, and as a young non-profit or-
ganization, the Children’s Museum of Yuma County
(CMYC) want children across Yuma, and the sur-
rounding region, to play, explore, and imagine. They
care about creating exhibits and programs that em-
phasize hands-on engagement and learning through
experience, employing play as a tool to spark the in-
herent creativity, curiosity, and imagination of chil-
dren. In its infancy, the CMYC was operating as a
“museum without walls”, popping up exhibits at var-
ious events around Yuma along with a summer mu-
seum experience through an innovative partnership
with the City of Yuma. With your help, along with
the ongoing support of the community’s members,
leaders, volunteers, and donors, they are working to
bring fun and engaging exhibits, to their new per-
manent location, while also seeking to expand the
learning possibilities for the children of Yuma County

and the surrounding communities.
