9. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I wish to thank God for his blessings, guidance, protection and mercies. He
is a faithful God. I should also thank him for the family into which I was born
and for my nuclear family. Indeed, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of
wisdom.
My gratitude goes to my late parents, Rev. and Mrs. J. Oyedele, and to my
brother and sisters for my education and for their love and support for me.
I also appreciate the love and support that I receive from my beautiful wife,
Dr Victoria Oyedele, and our children Yemisi, Opeoluwa, John and Ife
Oyedele.
I will also like to thank UNAM management and my colleagues in the
Department of Physics and in the Faculty of science for their support for my
research activity and for their encouragement.
It was and it is nice to work with the Radiation Physics Research Group in the
Physics Department and I am grateful to them.
My gratitude also goes to Professor Ayodele Babalola (formerly of the
University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, but now at Bells University of
Technology, Ota, Nigeria), for his guidance and to Professor and Dr (Mrs)
Akin Adedoyin of the Physics Department, University of Botswana,
Gaborone, Botswana, for their support.
As could be expected, many people and organizations have contributed
to my success but unfortunately there is no time to mention all their names.
However, I am grateful to them.
I should thank the Government of Nigeria and the Government of Canada
as well as my past teachers and lecturers for my education.
I appreciate the support received from the IAEA.
Finally, I wish to thank you for coming to this inaugural lecture. God bless.
