Surgeon’s Loop
The Surgeon’s Loop is a double overhand knot that forms a loop. It’s a
little bulky when using heavier material, but it’s effective. The Perfection
Loop is an alternative for many anglers.
1. Form a loop and overlap the tag end with the standing leader for
about six inches.
2. Make an overhand knot in the doubled section and pass the single
loop through the double loop you have just formed. Don’t jump the
gun and tighten—yet.
