Double Figure Eight Loop Knot

1. You’ll need a good amount of excess line at the tag end to tie this
knot. Tie a double overhand knot in the fishing line. Thread the tag
end of the line through the hook eye. Adjust the overhand knot so it
lays sideways, revealing the figure eight that gives the knot its name.
2. Bring the tag end up through the first and second loops of the double
overhand knot (as shown here). Pull the tag through.
