3. Tighten that first knot connection at the hook eye. Bring the tag end
around the standing line two times to make another double overhand
knot. Now you have the second figure eight, made by the second
double overhand knot. Bring the tag end through the second loop, as
shown here.
4. Moisten the knots. Pull both hook bend and the standing line to slide
up the first knot, joining the knots together to form the loop of the
hook eye. Clip the excess.
