Dropper Loop
When you want to fish a tandem rig and have one fly extending off the
leader and another on the terminal end, use this knot; you can tie another
tippet section to this loop to drop a lure or fly off it.
1. Make a loop in the line.
2. Wind the tag end back through the loop five or six times. Holding the
connection so the loop is standing up, pull the middle of the big loop
down through the wraps you created, as shown here. This forms the
loop.
