"At the same moment, the roar sounds again, this time even louder, and the enormous
white yacht passes by them once more on the left side, causing the boat to come
dangerously close to capsizing. He is in shock, struggling to comprehend what’s
happening, when a massive wave crashes over the boat again. Edward hears himself

screaming at the top of his lungs as he is thrown to the floor. The hand gripping the small
side railing feels like it’s about to be torn off, but instead, it twists painfully, leaving it badly
               sprained.

The boat rocks violently from side to side, Edward's head does not react immediately, he is
               as if paralyzed.

He just holds on to the railing mutely, until he hears Phobe's voice breaking his coma-like
               state.

"Nope" Edward watches in frantic disbelief as Phoebe, having now struggles to rise back

up after she had fallen. But before he can react, the sound of wood creaking sharply
catches his attention. Victoria’s voice pierces through the chaos.

"Elvira, no! You must do something, Edward!"

His heart skips a beat. He looks up just in time to see half of the mast snap and fall toward
him, whizzing through the air. He ducks just in time, but in the next second, he’s engulfed
by the sails and rigging. His instincts scream at him to get out of the mess before he’s

completely tangled, and he knows he has to jump into the water. Elvira is in the water, and
               so is Naja.

He hears Victoria’s voice tear through the air as he struggles to wriggle free. Desperation
               fills his chest.

               "Najaaaaaaa!"

The boat is still rocking violently in the aftermath, and Edward hears the roar of the yacht’s
engine fade, but it’s replaced by Victoria’s screams, echoing in his mind.

With a final push, he throws himself over the side of the boat, sliding into the cold water
below. More screams reach him—Phoebe’s voice is once again the loudest, calling out,

               "Najaaa!"

The words hit Edward like a hammer. In a distant part of his brain, he knows that the
unthinkable has happened—Neja has fallen overboard.

A man’s voice shouts above the chaos.
