out wooden tray on the table, he opens the bottle of coke and pours a glass filled

to the brim, then opens the two beers and immediately starts pouring them into
                   the jars.

"Please, help yourself," he says as he distributes the glasses.

"Well, isn’t this nice, Anny?" says Mom directed towards Ann.
“Cheers, and thanks for a good business deal! Now, I’ll just have to see whom

can but the other two kittens. ”

"Cheers," says Mom and Ann simultaneously.
"Where's the father?" asks Ann, asking about the kitten.

"I have no idea. Molly, the mother cat, just came by one day and was decided to
stay here and soon thereafter she got pregnant. I was very grateful for that." His

voice grates as he speaks, and he rubs his chin in a very special way every time

he finishes a sentence. It's a habit he's got from prison, and since then he hasn't
been able to break the habit, even though it's been over four years since he last

                   went inside.

"You know what, it's not too often she wants to go out, but sometimes she
jumps down from the balcony and is away for a couple of hours until she

returns." "Is it an indoor or outdoor cat?" Ann continues unaffected, taking a big
sip of her coke. She turns her gaze to Janokovic, then to the cat, then to Jano

                   again.

“When I got Molly, she was terrified. When I first saw her, before she wanted to
stay, she didn’t want to come inside. Then suddenly, she decided to stay. I guess

heat and food will make any animal stay, hmm" While Jano is talking, he looks

intensely at Lissi, even though asked the question.
                     "Was she scared, then?"

                     "Yes, Molly was scared shitless."

He leans back in his armchair and sits as if he’s about to sleep, he has now fallen
into his own thoughts, with his eyes resting on at Lissi’s legs.

“Why was she that scared? Was the previous owner bad? You hear about animal

                   cruelty sometimes. ”
"No, I don't think so. It is her nature to be careful," Janokovic replies.

Mom smiles in an permissive and understanding way at Janokovic, while holding
up the glass in front of his face.
