gaurds caught him in a few months, while working on his plan, that’a be worse.
He turned on the light and enjoyed the silence. No trampling, no shouting,
no knocking. He walked up the stairway and ended up in his old archive, where
hundreds of paintings, lithographs, sculptures and drawings were stored. All the
exhibitions and works of the site were taken to the protocol in the folders that
stood on the shelves along the walls. He grabbed his key bundle and searched for
the right key- picked it.
At the end of the archive there was a spacious closet built into the wall.
Throughout the years, he had stored many important documents. And when he
locked in the key, he curiously looked inside. Everything was still meticulously
looking and untouched, just as he remembered it. Only a thin layer of dust
revealed that it was years ago, the closet had been opened.
Shortly afterwards he stood on the street again in front of the museum,
watching it.
Chapter 17
Just as he entered the entryway, Uno were greeted with the smell of brown
cabbage and sausage. Trudie had just finished cooking.
"Glad you came. I was getting nervous if something happened to you, " she said in
her mousy voice, whereby she appeared in the hallway. She took his jacket and
put his slippers in front of him.
"I'll have to get started right away. With the work, that is."
He muttered, as he threw the contract on a small table hanging above the mirror.
Trudie mumbled something unclear and trudged back into the kitchen. Uno
seized the contract and followed. He sat down in the kitchen chair and suddenly
it hit him how hungry he was.
Trudie put a plate of two sausages, brown cabbage and potatoes in front
of him. Afterwards she poured him a large glass of milk.
"I need a schnapps," he exclaimed. It sounded harder than it really was meant, as
