            Methodist minister George Heber Jones (Korean name: Jo Won-si) , who worked as a teacher at Pai
            Chai Hakdang, organized Korea's first theological society with his wife, and began teaching
            the children of Naeri Church and Younghwa Elementary school was opened in 1903 as the
            first private elementary George Heber Jones education institution in Korea.

                                                                                                   The museum houses more than 10,000 Bibles from 44 countries around the world collected

                                                                                                   and biblical studies, and 8,000 bibles donated by Dr. David Wakefield, an American Bible
                                                                                                   researcher. Among them, the Hebrew Old Testament, the Hellenistic New Testament, and
                                                                                                   the Papyrus of Paul’s letters recorded in ancient Egyptian have very high archaeological
                                                                                                   value.
                                                                                                   In addition, Gutenberg Bible which was published in 1456 by Gutenberg, the inventor of
                                                                                                   the metal type printing technology, and a copy of the Dead Sea, whose original copy has
                                                                                                   not been released since the shepherd boy found it in Kumran Cave in 1947, are also rare
                                                                                                   collections. In addition to Yesu-seonggyo-jeonseo, the first Bible translated into Hangeul
                                                                                                   in 1887, the museum also exhibits first Bibles from countries around the world, including
