When writing a description of an event:

. make a plan before you start writing
use the correct past tenses to describe the events
* describe your emotions
say why the event was exciting or fun

Plan
Part 1
Introduce the event you will be describing.
The match last weekend was awesome!
It was so much fun seeing the competition last week!

Part 2
Describe the event using the correct past tenses.
While we were waiting, we chatted with the other fans.
People were taking lots of photos during the game.
When our team won the gold medal, everybody cheered.
