Writing an essay (advantages and disadvantages) (Unit 9)
When writing an essay:
* make an outline of the main points before you start writing
* include an equal number of points for and against
* use words that signpost the main points, e.g. however, furthermore
* don’t use contractions or informal phrases
* give your opinion at the end.
