Writing a description of a trip (Unit 11)

(for example, in an article or an email)

When writing a description of a trip:

. make notes of the main ideas
decide which ideas will go in each part (sentence or paragraph)
* describe the events in the order that they happened
use time adverbs to show sequence

conclude with your opinion about the trip and an idea about future plans.

Part 1
Start your article by saying where you went and why it was interesting.
Tokyo is one of the biggest and most interesting cities in the world.
Rio de Janeiro is the most exciting city | have ever visited.
We spent three days in Stockholm and it is a trip | will never forget.

Part 2
Describe the first part of your trip. Use time adverbs to show the sequence of events.
