Sizzling sirloin
What would Western meals be without steak! This
recipe was inspired by the British star Chef Jamie
Oliver. In this dish, I added some vegetables to make
it healthier - and more colourful!
Frying a steak seems easy, but it does take a little bit
of practice and patience.
However it turns out, the benefits will be yours.
gluten-free 1 pan & plate 20 minutes pan-frying
What to Prepare How to Make It
1 sirloin steak (227g) 1. Pull the fat off the sirloin and place the
mixed peppers sliced fat in a large cold non-stick frying pan.
4-5 white mushrooms 2. Put on a medium-high heat to render as
sliced it heats up, moving it around to coat the
2 cloves garlic pan.
butter 3. Then rub the steak with a pinch of salt
salt (sea salt would be and black pepper.
better) 4. Sear the steak in the hot pan for 1
black pepper minute on each side, and reduce fire to
medium-low, add butter and garlic to
continue frying for 5 minutes, using a
spoon to sprinkle the butter onto the
beef.
5. When butter is completely melt, remove
from plate to rest.
6. Now make use of the remained butter to
first fry the mushrooms - they taste
amazing with butter!
7. When the mushrooms are tender, add
mixed peppers - colour of this dish - and
sprinkle salt to flavour.
8. When you can smell the fragrance of the
peppers, they are free to plate!
My final words
Mushrooms taste great with butter - this
was something I learned by chance - the
first time I made this dish, and it really
surprised me that I felt it necessary to
share with you.
