JAPANESE CULTURE
Being On Time
In Japan, being on time is a benchmark of
good manners and has been instilled since
childhood. The propaganda of "Time is money"
and nationalism are the reasons why
Japanese people must be punctual in
order to respect others and this
also shapes Japanese people's
discipline towards time.
Greeting in person
In Japanese culture, if there is a formal or
important meeting, it is best to greet in
person without being represented.
Meishi Koukan
or Exchanging business cards
When receiving a business card we
should accept it with both hands and give
a business card in return. We should also
give the business card with the writing
position facing the recipient.
Discipline in queuing
In Japan, it is considered impolite and
not having a good attitude, so it is
important not to get ahead of others or
take away their rights when queuing.
