Pradaksina Ritual This ritual is held at
Borobudur Temple at sunrise,
performed by monks. They
wear red hats in the shape of
a crest while rotating around
the temple three times.
Sungkem Tlompak
Sungkem Tlompak is a
tradition held by Banyusidi
villagers who live on the
slopes of Mount Merbabu.
They hold it every Eid to
send prayers and ask God
for safety.
Nikah Tembakau This wedding is an expression of
gratitude for the blessings of the
Almighty.
The ritual begins with the carnival
of tumpeng of crops, and a tobacco
bride named Kyai Pulung Seto and
Nyai Srintil. They carry it to the
Piwakan spring. After arriving at
the spring, a community leader
leads a prayer.
The local community wear Ruwat Bumi
traditional clothes when they come
to Mount Tidar. And, each
representative of the neighborhood
or village must bring “tumpeng”
and its side dishes. There are two
tumpeng served, namely tumpeng
"lanang" and "wadon".
Sedekah Candi

Every year, villagers hold a
Site. The aim is not only to
express gratitude, but also to
introduce the inscriptions
there. The alms ritual begins
with a procession around the
village.
