Darby, and they have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. She has
supported her husband in ministry for over 30 years.
Joscelyn regularly attends workshops, retreats, conferences, and Bible studies to
enhance her knowledge of the Word. Presently she coordinates the Women's
Ministry at church and is the Founder of a Wives Mentoring Circle involving wives
from the Houston Metropolitan area. Her hobbies are reading, traveling, cooking,
and spending time with family and friends.
2019 – Zari McFadden
Zari McFadden, great-granddaughter of Susie B. White was a
special guest speaker. She is a Computer Science major from
Durham, NC, and graduating May 2020 from Spelman College.
Zari has completed a Research Experience for Undergraduates
(REU) at the University of Florida Gainesville and two internships
at Microsoft.
She has also studied abroad in London at Queen Mary University of London and
was a member of the inaugural class of Google’s Tech Exchange program. In
addition to this, she is a Bonner Scholar a self-published author of a book titled 18
Things I’ve Learned in 18 Years. In her free time, Zari enjoys reading, traveling,
and spending time with friends and family.
2018 – James Holmes
James Holmes was born and raised in Adams County, here in
Natchez, MS. He is the middle son of three (3) children born to Mr.
& Mrs. Edwin Holmes. James attended school in both Jefferson
and Adams counties. He graduated from Alcorn State University in
1975, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education.
After graduation, James relocated to Mobile, AL to work for the United States
Department of Agriculture (Grain Inspection and Packers Services) as a bargain
unit employee. He was later promoted to an Assistant Field Office Manager with
primary responsibilities that included supervision of eight states and
approximately two hundred employees in the southeastern states.
The company’s basis function was to act as a mutual party between sellers and
buyers as to the export of grains and grain products to and from the farmers of
the United States.
James travelled extensively during his career. He was relocated to Galveston, TX,
and later accepted another position and relocated to Lutcher, LA. He retired with
38.5 years of service. James is known as the pot gardener who plants a little of
everything in pots all around his house. He enjoys sharing the fruits of his labor
