Dr. White was Vice President, R&D and Director of Quality Labs for iBio CDMO
in Bryan TX. He took a sabbatical from his company, MDx and move to TX to
serve as Director of Quality Labs for Caliber Biotherapeutics, a plant-made
pharmaceutical company that expressed an Influenza vaccine "proof of concept"
candidate in conjunction with DARPA’s Blue Angel project. The project included
the design and construction of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with the
potential to produce vaccines up to 50 million doses/month. The project resulted
in the successful production of an H1N1 vaccine candidate which was tested in
ferrets by The Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.
Dr. White co-founded MDx BioAnalytical Labs, Inc. with his wife, in November
2008 in Oro Valley, AZ and moved it to College Station, TX in 2010. Prior to that,
he served as VP, Analytical and Pharmaceutical Sciences for Integrated
Biomolecule Corporation in Oro Valley, AZ from July 2007 to November 2008.
Dr. White also served as Vice President of Advance Analytical Sciences for Large
Scale Biology Corp (LSBC), a publicly traded company in Vacaville, CA. He
joined LSBC in 1998 as a Senior Scientist and established the Analytical Center
of Excellence. A year later he was promoted to Director of Advanced Analytical
Resources and served as Director of Quality Control for LSBC's Non-Hodgkin’s
Lymphoma (NHL) cancer vaccines program, the Company's first clinical product
candidate. In 2002, he was appointed Vice President, Advanced Analytical
Sciences.
Prior to joining LSBC, Dr. White was Sr. Staff Scientist and Head of the Mass
Spectrometry Group in the Research and Development Department of R.J.
Reynolds Tobacco Company in Winston-Salem, NC from 1985-1998. Earl started
his career as a clinical and forensic toxicologist with the University of Mississippi
Medical Center and The Mississippi State Crime Laboratory, in Jackson, MS. He
also served and retired from the US Army Reserve after over 34 years achieving
the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
