education experience. It is safe to say that the four years of continuing scholarships, in
conjunction with the things that she was taught growing up, is what leads to her
development as an individual; cognitively, spiritually and how she will view herself and

                the world.

My name is LaTasha R. Woods from Natchez, MS. It was an honor to be one of the first
recipients of the Susie B. White Scholarship! Receiving the scholarship in 2013 – 2014
helped me financially to get started with my college education. I received an Associate
Degree in 2015 at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. I am now one of the best Scan
                Coordinators for The Natchez Markets.

Mrs. Susie White was my mentor when I was a little girl. It was an honor and a blessing
to be a recipient of a scholarship bearing my mentor’s name. Ms. Susie would let me read
at the Willing Workers meetings that I attended with my mother at a very young age. She
would encourage me to always do my best at whatever I did. Ms. Susie told me to never
give up. That is why I am planning to go back to school this year to get my B.S. in Social
                Works.

Thanks to the family of Susie B. White for starting a scholarship that is helping us with the
expense of a higher education. The Susie B. White Scholarship Fund is still helping
recipients to pursue their dreams. Thank You!!!
