               Riddle Village Dining Venue
■Project name and owner: Dining Venue at Riddle Village
                      ■Year completed: 2019
■Building type: Riddle Village had a very clear vision in mind when they sought to redesign
and renovate their dining venue. The full scope of the project included
the Governour’s Inne dining room, the adjoining Chesapeake Room, and
the nearby elevator lobby totaling approximately 8,250 square feet. The
Governour’s Inne dining room features an engaging hearth oven and
exhibition station while the Chesapeake Room features a state-of-the art
servery. An improved open floor plan concept allowed all residents – no
matter where they sit – greater enjoyment of each space. Variety in seating
include traditional dining tables and chairs blended with banquette-style
                                                   seating.

East Whiteland Township Public Works Facility
■Project name and owner: Public Works Facility for East Whiteland Township
                      ■Year completed: 2016
■Building type: When East Whiteland Township outgrew their current facility, the Township
enlisted Bernardon to create a new Public Works Facility that would allow
them to double their current storage capacity. The resulting facility is
actually a collection of buildings, including a 3,000 SF Administration
Building, heated mechanic and vehicle storage bays, and unheated material
storage structures totaling approximately 27,000 SF. The design is
inspired by traditional Pennsylvania stone farmhouse forms, with “barn
red” window frames, a natural stone veneer inspired by locally quarried
stone, and exposed timber structures and wood decking at the sheds, all of
which accent the overall composition. The buildings are arranged around a
courtyard, mimicking a farm compound that grew over time. Improvements
in the new facility include more space for maneuvering vehicles and better
lighting for improved safety. There is also a new office within the facility
for the Director of Public Works, who was previously located in the former
Municipal Administration Building approximately two miles away.
                      ■Type of project: New
■Form of Construction Delivery: Multiple Prime Construction Contracts
                      ■Construction cost: $6,858,597
