Design Statement: Bernardon provided land planning
and architectural design services for the adaptive reuse
of the historic Kimberton Pointe Barn. To maintain the
character of Chester County and to provide multi-tenant
office space, the renovation, not demolition, of this
historic structure was of great importance to the local
community.

Several wood frame additions were demolished to restore
the barn to its original 6,400 SF footprint. Structure
deteriorated beyond repair was replaced with parts from
other barns. The excavated walk at the rear of the ground
floor provides required circulation and natural light.
