Morphotek Inc. - Pilot Plant
Exton, Pennsylvania
Structural design services were provided for a new $80M facility, which houses
a biologics pilot plant, laboratory space, offices for support functions and
warehouse/distribution. Construction of the new one-story, 60,000 SF, office
and laboratory facility involved the demolition of three buildings. Sustainable
design and operational features resulted in LEED Gold Certification. The
building features a 10,000 SF mezzanine/catwalk hung from the roof structure.

Endo Pharmaceuticals - US Headquarters Morphotek - Pilot Plant
Malvern, Pennsylvania

Endo Pharmaceuticals is a generics and specialty branded pharmaceutical
company. Consolidation of multiple corporate locations into a single U.S.
headquarters led to the development of a new turn-key, 312,000 SF, complex.
MacIntosh provided structural design for (2) new 5-story, 220,000 SF office
buildings with a 1-story high-bay connector link. The fast-track project was
able to complete core, shell, and tenant fit-out in just 12 months. Building
amenities include executive offices, a full-service kitchen, cafeteria, conference
center, and fitness center. The buildings are composite steel floor construction
and awarded a LEED-NC Silver accreditation.

3.0 University Place
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Endo Pharmaceuticals Headquarters
Structural design services provided for a new $100M, eight-story, (plus
lower-level parking), 250,000 SF, Life Sciences commercial office/laboratory
building featuring 30,000 SF, retail space. The innovation hub will serve a
critical need for state-of-the-art collaborative lab space for scientists, academics
and industry partners featuring a 14,495 SF, green roof located on the third
floor. The building consists of steel frame and concrete slab, long- span
floor framing, lower level retention tanks, two-story columns and dramatic
cantilevered bays. Tenants include the Wistar Institute and Ben Franklin
Technology Partners. The building is a sequel to 2.0 University Place (also
designed by MacEng) and is expected to receive LEED/ WELL Platinum
certification (in construction).
Teleflex, Inc. - New Pharmaceutical Facility
Reading, Pennsylvania 3.0 University Place
Structural design services were provided for the new one-story, 77,000 SF,
high-bay pharmaceutical and research facility home to the company’s new
vascular tech center featuring laboratories, offices, and shop functions. The
building is designed to accommodate two future expansions.

Aqua America - New Laboratory Expansion
Bryn Mawer, Pennsylvania
Aqua America is the fasted-growing regulated water and wastewater utilities
in America, located in eight states. Structural design services were provided
for a new two-story, 15,500 SF, laboratory expansion consisting of steel and
concreted frame with firewall separation from the existing building. The project
also featured associated laboratory support spaces, offices and meeting rooms.
