Newark, Delaware
Structural design and construction administration services were provided for a
new 2-story, 42,000 SF “wrap around” addition to an existing office building.
The new addition abuts the existing administration building and high-bay
manufacturing wing of the former Chrysler plant. Our scope included removal
of existing interior walls, as well as assessment of perimeter foundations to
support new column loads. The STAR building houses core labs for use by
teams of clinical and academic researchers. These shared spaces are the home
to The College of Health Sciences clinics and labs, but also innovative tech
businesses like Bloom Energy and SevOne, a Delaware Technology Park business UD - STAR Campus - Health Science Building
incubator, a Christiana Care urgent care clinic and Independence Prosthetics.
Imperial Chemical Industries Laboratory Expansion
New Castle, Delaware
Structural design and construction administration for a new one-story 4,500
SF addition to the existing laboratory building at the Uniqema Corporate
Headquarters.

GlaxoSmithKline HQ Renovation
Warren, New Jersey
Structural design for the renovation of an existing office building to support a
new tenant fit out. The renovations consisted of two new operable partitions
in the multipurpose rooms, one operable partition on the first floor, and a
new mechanical shaft.

Charles River Laboratory - Barrier Facility
Frederick, Maryland
Structural design services provided for the renovation of Charles River
Laboratories International (CRL) existing 55,000 SF, animal housing facility
into a rodent barrier housing facility. The building consisted of large and
small holding rooms, treatment rooms, laboratory space, cage wash, supply/
material warehouse maintenance shop, office, locker rooms and a break area.
Additional design for a new steel frame Sally Port, reinforcement of new tilt-
up walls, interior room conversions, new interior CMU partitions and slab
modifications.
Charles River Laboratory Expansion
Spenceville, Ohio GlaxoSmithKline HQ

Structural design and construction administration services for expansion to the
existing facility including a new 58,000 SF, pre-engineered building, matching
the existing facility, and a new 24,000 SF, mechanical mezzanine.

Delaware Public Health Laboratory Expansion
Smyrna, Delaware
Structural design services provided for an $11M, 23,000 SF, laboratory expansion
to the existing facility consisting of laboratory, warehouse and administrative
office space.
