Locations
PENNSYLVANIA
Main Line Health has identified pharmacies in twelve (12) locations that require
upgrades to comply with USP 797 and USP 800. USP 800 updates USP 797
(sterile preparation regulations) and addresses hazardous drug manufacturing,
including such key elements as compounding, preparing the drugs, storage,
transport, product storage, compounding, preparation, and administration of
parenteral and non-parenteral products. The goal of the recommendations
within USP 800 is to minimize or eliminate occupational exposure to hazardous
medications.
USP 800 applies to compounding pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and medical
centers.
DEDC was selected to survey and assess the mechanical and electrical systems
serving the pharmacies at twelve (12) Main Line Health locations for compliance
with UPS 800.

The goal of the survey and assessment is to determine the required upgrades to
achieve compliance. Once the required MEP upgrades were determined we
presented our findings to the project team. After review of our findings and
recommendations to the project team, DEDC completed construction documents
for each location. We also provided assistance during bidding and construction.
