The Surgical Center of South Jersey is a licensed, AAAHC-accredited ambulatory
surgery center that provides high-quality, same-day surgical care. Physicians
operate in an advanced technological surgical environment, while staff members
focus on providing the highest level of care and communication to patients.

A project was initiated to renovate a portion of the building to meet the current
needs of patients and staff. The new program required renovating recovery, pre-
ops, and nursing stations, as well as providing additional offices and discharge.
Including a new operating room was also part of the new program. The MEP
design required upgrades to the MEP infrastructure.

DEDC provided mechanical and engineering and design services for the project.
We analyzed the existing systems serving the spaces and provided
recommendations for upgrades as required to meet the needs of the program.
DEDC then completed mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications for
permit and construction.

We also provided assistance during construction. The project was completed on
time and within budget.
