This is crazy, Dan thought. Ivy can’t leave.

Whatever Dan had told Ivy was just to motivate

Dan remembered the day when Ivy had

stood up to him. They were just seven that time.

Dan was being pushed by some other kids in

the playground. He felt helpless. They scared

him. They called him cry baby, which made him

angry. He had lost his parents and his grandma

hated him. They took him to an orphanage. He

did not feel any better there. The big boy in the

middle was going to hit him. Suddenly one girl

about his age came in front of him and yelled at

those boys. She pushed the boys and yelled at

them until they cried.

Once they walked away, she turned him. Dan

thought she would yell at him too, but instead she
