Professional Qualifications - All Levels
How the Programme Works
In each learning outcome (LO) you will be set a series of ‘challenges’ which will ask
you to consider key issues in principle and for your own organisational context. You
will be asked to reflect and draw conclusions, to recommend and justify action, to
enhance performance and to influence others to take action. Along the way, you will
generate real-life evidence of your thinking, approach and strategic intentions.
There is no exam or dissertation required, just practical thinking, intelligent action
and persuasive argument.
Mentoring: Whenever you add to your reflective log or submit something
you’ve worked on, your designated mentor will review and comment – often
with the intention of stretching your thinking still further.
Qualification: On successful completion of all the challenges and tasks,
you will be formally assessed and put forward for the relevant qualification
and on successful validation by the Chartered Management Institute will
receive your certificate.
The programmes we create are not designed simply to enable the achievement of a
qualification. They are leadership development programmes, designed to enhance,
sharpen and even transform the capabilities and impact of every participating
leader. The design of the programmes allows each leader to shape and apply the
learning to fit their own context, to be truly practical and to be immediately
applicable to their daily practice. While there is some theory contained in any unit or
learning outcome, the focus is primarily on the leaders own workplace and on the
real-world.
