2022 VICE PRESIDENTIAL COIN FOR OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE RECIPIENT

In 2020, we set out to design a special recognition program for our Fleet Operations crews with our Operational
Excellence Coins. Each year we design 4 special collector coins. One design each for the Managers, Directors and
the Vice President of Operations. Managers seek out high-performing members of their teams each month to be the
selected recipient of their coins, while the Directors do the same on a quarterly basis. For me, I keep a watchful eye
out for that one special crew member to be the recipient of the one and only VP coin.
It's my privilege to introduce you to the recipient of the 2022 Vice Presidents Operational Excellence coin, Mr. Pedro
Cantu, Superintendent SBC2402!!

Mr. Cantu guided his team to zero injuries in 2022 while achieving our service reliability target of 98% for the year.
Well done Pedro and team!

We all know that it’s a team effort to be successful. That culture is most certainly alive out on SBC2402. I recently
had the honor of visiting the machine and witnessing firsthand how Pedro and his crew perform with one unified pur-
pose, delivering world class service in the safest most efficient manner to our customer, CSX.
