Continued—Pedro Cantu
Truth be told, I’ve been watching the SBC2400’s operation close over the past number of years. This unique shoul-
der ballast cleaner with its complex design and advanced control system requires the crew and its leader to be fully
committed to all aspects of the operation. Pedro and his crew certainly understand what it takes to deliver the
goods.
Leadership requires commitment to an operation. In many cases, that means putting the operation before our per-
sonal lives. Pedro has demonstrated that unwavering commitment to both his crew and the operation of the
SBC2400 program time and time again.
Numerous departments including HR, Engineering, Sales/Marketing, and Operations have all recognized the tremen-
dous leadership Mr. Cantu has delivered which has contributed to my decision to ultimately select Mr. Cantu for this
honor.
Pedro, you have clearly demonstrated how to deliver on our Operational Excellence Strategy and establish yourself
as a role model for all your fellow crew members in the field. You should be as proud of your accomplishments as
we are of you.
