The importance of sustainable energy is related to three elements: the efficient supply of energy
that is a basic condition for economic development; the need to avoid ecological disasters and
reduce or eliminate environmental damage; and the need for equity in the energy sector, which
can be translated into universal access to energy (see SDGs). Sustainable energy emphasizes
energy efficiency and use of renewable sources.
ACTIVITY: REAL-TIME REACTIONS

should be sharing of each person’s reaction to what they viewed, in an online
backchannel tool (taking notes together in real time). Each person should be
encouraged to share what they comprehend based on what they viewed and
critique and pose questions.
