5.0 Analysis of May-June 2017 Results
This section provides a brief analysis of May-June 2017 CXC examinations results in order to give an
overview of the performance of our students in two of the regional examinations administered by
CXC.
5.1 CSEC May-June 2017 Results
The results for the May-June 2017 sitting of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC)
shows that three thousand seven hundred ninety-four (3,794) candidates made up of 1,666 males
(44%) and 2,128 females (56%) registered for 32 of the 34 subjects offered at the CSEC level. The
candidates registered for the May-June 2017 CSEC sitting represent a decrease of 118 candidates (-
3.0%) compared to the May-June 2016 sitting.
