The expenditure on Government Dopartnents,
Protection, Uodioal, Publio Works eto. hao been
assessed at slightly nor© than in the last Budget
in order to oover expansion in oertain directiona
und oertain propoeed increases in tho Government
staff. The total recurrent expenditure, inolad
ing the Civil List but not inoluding l/3rd royalty
is only half a Iso bo re than the actual revenue
in 1355 from all sources other then oil revenue*
Assuming that the non oil revenue for 1356 is not
looo than during 1355 it is evident that the Btate
could be administered, os it is now, without the
oil revenue•
I can count upon there being a surplus of
three and a half lacs at the end of the year and
1 aa confident that this surplus will be greatly
in axoaes of my expectation*
