                         To—Sheikh Mah6mbd den Abdullah, Bahrein. •
                Mirzft Mchdoo Khan was appointed by His Majesty lh6‘Shah’for regulating
            the affairs of the porta and islands of tho Poreion Gulf.
                When I heard of his arrival at Shiraz,.I and Haydor Khan informed him, as
            also His Royal Highfioss tho : Yemocn-ood-Dowleh,’ son of. the Shah, and
            Assef-ood-Dowleh, of tho circumstances of what happened at Bahroin; of your own
            arrival there, and taking on yourself tho responsibility, of tho Government, and of
            your endeavours for tho Caro and protection of tho island.'and its people,....
               . On. that account His Royal Highness the Yomeen-ood-Bowloh .was pleased to
            issue a ** Jtukutn," thus conferring on you an honor, and sanctioning your holding
            tho Governorship of.Bahrein.
                Mirza Mohdoo Khan has now. arrived at Dayer, bringing With him t.hp said
            ** Rukum.” * Ho lmS also brought orders for Hriyder Khan directing hiriV to.look
            aftor your affairs, and to assist you in anything you may require from him.-
               ..Accordingly tho “Rukum” is sont to you, accompanied with a Tirma shawl
            from Mirza Mohdoe Khan.
               •Mirza Mohdeo Khan has submitted your circumstances and your personal
            ability to His.Majesty tho Shall nt Teheran. A reply will shortly arrive, with a
            Firman and dress of honor from tho capital. But it is advisable for you to
            coma quietly with Hojco Abd Alco to Dayer for the purpose of completing
            tho affairs of your Government. Tho messenger is sont on no othor affair
            than this. B* assured in every respect. You will not be detained moro than
            two days at Dayer, and you will return safe, &c. God is witness to what I say.

            has arrived with a dress of honor for you, sont by His Royal Highness the
            Ycmcon-ood-Dowlch, son of His Majesty Nauscr-ood-dcon Shalir< whioh will bo
            conveyed to you by Hojco Abd Alco. Xusballab, you • wilL rccoivo this, as also
            further similar favors, and will obtain your wish.
                Further detail is similar to what Mahomed Khan has'written to you,’and
            that? is Efficient. Tnslmllnh, you will act accordingly, and von Will 'not fail it, as
            all aro endeavouring for the settlement of your affairs, and for the consolidatiod of
            y.our'rulo.
